Day 4: Venice, Italy

You could start a discussion about Venice by praising its restaurants, wine bars, marble churches or blown glass. But you probably won’t. You’ll likely start with the fact that Venice is built on water. It is a place where people either float slowly down palace-lined man-made waterways or stroll down narrow alleyways. There’s no more of an extraordinary place to find yourself, or lose yourself.

Day 5: Split, Croatia

This Mediterranean city on the eastern shores of the Adriatic has a long and eventful history dating back to the awesome Diocletian’s Palace (circa 295 A.D.) in the centre of the city. Split offers cruise guests a wealth of exciting places to visit, from the majestic cathedral and marble streets in the centre of town to the harbour area with its cafe-filled promenades and views of coastal mountains.

Day 6: At Sea

Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ships activities can be found on the vessels daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by you.

Day 7: Athens, Greece

Welcome to Piraeus, the port city of Athens. It is the oldest city in Greece, a guaranteed highlight is the mystical Acropolis, perched high in the hills. Just because this city is vintage don’t think that you’ll be stuck in the past – it is juxtaposed against a modern city filled with shopping, restaurants, culture and beautiful art.

Day 8: Heraklion (Crete), Greece

Wander the atmospheric old alleys, marvel at the massive Venetian walls and explore The Palace of Knossós in this beautiful port city Heraklion – the capital of the Greek island of Crete.

Day 9: Rhodes, Greece

Rhodes is positioned off the coast of Turkey and blends history and beauty in to one. You are guaranteed to be in awe of the Grand Masters Palace and the old fortified city provides a great walk back in time.

Limassol – or Lemoses – is the second largest urban area in Cyprus, this is a bustling and vibrant city with plenty to offer. The compact centre snakes around an old castle, and is packed with boutiques, restaurants and bars.

Day 11 – 12: Suez Canal, Egypt

The Suez Canal connects the Mediterranean and Red Sea and was built by the Suez Canal Company back in 1869. It is one of the great innovations that has lasted into the modern world.

Welcome to Eilat, Isreal’s resort town on the Red Sea. Eilat is home to some of the world’s most spectacular coral reefs, so diving here is a must. If you’re not up for a scuba dive, enjoy a swim in the turquoise waters on the numerous beaches and enjoy sitting back and spotting marine life, like dolphins. On the shore, adventure seekers can hike through spectacular desert scenery, and shoppers can enjoy a myriad of shopping destinations.
