Day 0: Oslo, Norway

Day 1: Oslo, Norway

Welcome to Europe! Upon arrival into Oslo airport, be met and transferred to your Oslo hotel for the night.

Day 2: Oslo – Geilo, Norway

After breakfast today, take in the highlights of Oslo on a locally guided city tour. See historically significant and beautifully preserved buildings including te Opera House and Akershus medieval fortress. Enjoy time to wander the peaceful Frogner Park and adjacent Vigeland Park, filled with the sculptural works of Norwegian artist, Gustav Vigeland. Later, relax on the comfortable coach and enjoy the scenery as you travel west into Geilo.

Day 3: Geilo – Myrdal – Flam – Sognefjord – Bergen, Norway

Start a full day of exciting sightseeing today with the train from Geilo to Myrdal; the mountainous starting point for the world-famous Flam railway. The Flam track winds steeply through one of Norway’s most stunning valleys, offering breathtaking views and photo opportunities. Look out for the mysterious ‘Hulda’ at one of the waterfall stops. The day continues on with a 2 hour fjord cruise in Sognefjord, the deepest fjord in Norway and another photogenic place of outstanding natural beauty. Complete this special day with the scenic drive down to Bergen, to relax for the evening.

Day 4: Bergen – Hardangerfjord – Oslo, Norway

Relax this morning with some free time to enjoy Bergen, the city surrounded by fjords and soaring mountain ranges. Then, travel the breathtaking Hardangerfjord road to Oslo; including a photo stop at the mighty Vøringsfossen waterfall. Be ready for jaw dropping views at every turn.

Day 5: Oslo, Norway – Gothenburg – Malmo, Sweden

Take in the views on your trip south from Oslo this morning. The lunch stop is in lovely Gothenburg, a charming port city founded in the early 1600’s and now highly regarded for its urban culture, food scene and canals lined with elegant Neo-classical buildings. Arrive into Malmo, on Sweden’s southern tip for an evening at leisure to admire the many striking modern structures, including vast Oresund Bridge; connecting Sweden with Denmark.

Day 6: Malmo, Sweden – Copenhagen, Denmark

After breakfast and check out this morning, fully experience the scale of Oresund Bridge as your coach crosses over the sea and tracks down into the Drogden Tunnel, leading on to Denmark and Copenhagen. Then meet your local guide for a 4 hour city tour. See the Little Mermaid and Gefion Fountain; the Royal residence Amalienborg Palace and Nyhavn Canal with its charming outdoor restaurants and picturesque cafés; the Christiansborg Castle, home of the Danish Parliament; the Royal Opera House, and many more sights. The city tour concludes with a visit to the wonderful Tivoli Gardens, part cultural hub, amusement park and garden in the heart of the city. Relax for the rest of the day and evening.

Day 7: Copenhagen, Denmark

After breakfast and the transfer to Copenhagen Port, board the Norwegian Escape for your incredible 9 night cruise through the Baltic Sea. St. Petersburg has remained the cultural centre of Russia since its inception by namesake, Peter the Great. Astounding architecture, Tchaikovsky operas and the famous Kirov ballet are must see’s while staying overnight in this trans-formative city.

Day 11: Tallinn, Estonia

Not your typical stop on a European bucket list journey but boy is it worth it. The capital of Estonia impresses cruise guests with its mix of medieval houses, modern boutiques and café culture. Venture inside the ancient walls of Old Town to explore stunning Medieval landmarks like Toompea Castle and a 15th Century apothecary shop.

Kiel’s series charmless indoor malls linked by pedestrian bridges is a beautiful feature of this German city once obliterated during WWII by bombing raids. Follow Kiel’s main thoroughfare, the pedestrianised Holstenstrasse, to the Schlossgarten to reach the waterfront, marvel here at new warships being built for nations worldwide, and all manner of ships big and small.

Day 14: Copenhagen, Denmark

Welcome to the capital of Denmark! Explore this beautiful city filled with canals and cobble stone streets. Spend your day shopping, brush up on your history at the museums and sip on local coffee at one of the many cafes.

Welcome to the hilly, coastal capital of Portugal. The views from Sao Jorge Castle will allow you to spot the cities pastel coloured buildings, Tagus Estuary Natural Reserve and the suspension bridge. Venturing slightly outside of the city opens you up to beautiful beaches from Cascais to Estoril!

Day 21: Barcelona, Spain

Welcome to the cultural hub of Spain, Barcelona! Explore the stunning sights such as the Sagrada Familia and enjoy the local tapas for some truly delicious cuisine.

Day 22: Marseille, France

Founded in 600BC, Provence (Marseille) is the oldest city in France. The city is filled with terracotta-roofed buildings, while visits to the city of Avignon and quiet locales of Le Baux and Aix en Provence are must do’s.

Day 23: Genoa, Italy

Today disembark the MSC Virtuosa and begin your journey home.

MSC Vituosa brings to life new features and new emotions in a state of the art ship.
