Day 5: At Sea
Enjoy a relaxing day at sea.
Day 6: Halifax, Nova Scotia
The city’s dominated by the hilltop Citadel, a star-shaped fort completed in the 1850s. Halifax was long defined by naval operations. The 18th-century Citadel still stands guard, but today overlooks a thriving city whose restored waterfront features historic architecture, shops, museums, bars, restaurants and more.
Day 7: Sydney, Nova Scotia
By the water, the Big Fiddle is a huge violin statue honouring local music. Wooden 18th-century buildings include the Cossit and Jost houses, now museums with period furniture. St. Patrick’s Church Museum showcases local history in an 1828 church. East, at Glace Bay, the Cape Breton Miners’ Museum explores the area’s coal-mining heritage.
Day 8 – 11: At Sea
Your days at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ships activities can be found on the vessels daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by you.
Day 12: Akureyri, Iceland
Iceland’s second largest city is home to integral ship ports and fishing centres. Enjoy a bustling nightlife and gourmet food amongst stunning snow-capped mountains and fjords or soak up robust folk culture. Whatever you choose, it will be memorable.
Day 13: Isafjordur, Iceland
Welcome to Isafjordur, home to towering peaks of untouched wilderness. The prosperous fishing town was formed by ancient volcanoes and settled in the ninth century by Vikings. Explore the narrow streets and 18th century timber structures that fill the town then spend some time learning about the regions history. If you’re feeling active then take part in horseback riding, bird watching, kayaking or hiking in the hills.
Day 14: Reykjavik, Iceland
Iceland’s capital and largest city was settled in 877 AD and has grown into an integral seaport and government hub. Even though it is a considerably advanced and progressive destination, it still uses water from nearby geysers to heat all of its buildings.
Day 15: Reykjavik, Iceland
Disembark your cruise and depart Reykjavik.
